To operate, the system requires a 110-volt electrical connection and a way to drain the waste water produced during periodic backwashing of the filter media. The water used during this process is environmentally safe, so feel free to direct it onto your lawn or into a sewer system. Our Point-of-Entry systems are nearly hands-off, with all the work happening automatically. The filter media backwashes itself based on programmable settings and has a lifespan of about 5-7 years. When it’s time to replace the filter media, it costs approximately $300, and you can either handle the replacement yourself or have us send you a pre-charged tank.
